"2 of these work great with 2 monitors" 2010-02-13
By J. Green (CA)
I've have two of these switching two monitors between two XP Pro PCs (one IBM and one HP) with a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse for almost a year now. I just arbitrarily plugged the keyboard/mouse USB cable into one switch and 98% of the time both monitors as well as the keyboard and mouse switch via the hot key.

As I had expected to have to switch the second monitor manually I was very happy to discover how well this setup works.

The only time I have to use the manual buttons is when I get impatient and try to use the mouse before it is finished switching. One manual switch usually resets the whole setup. I've only had the switches fail completely once and I use them five days a week, probably making 30 or 40 switches per day.

I did have to turn off the USB device connection sound on both PCs as it was driving me crazy...

 "Sharing Monitor,Keyboard and Mouse between 2 PC'S" 2010-01-30

If you need to share a monitor between 2 PC'S this is the product for you. I have 1pc running XP and the other running WIN98 and the TRENDnet KVM switch box allows me to switch the Monitor,Keyboard and Mouse between the 2 without any problems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

 "Horrible product" 2010-01-28
By Vidya Kannan (Seattle, WA)

I bought this item about six months ago (Sept 2009). It barely last till the end of the year.

The screen started turning redish in Dec 09 a due to some malfunction of the wire and by January it just stopped working altogether.

"Makes migrating to a new computer painless" 2010-01-21
By L. B. Witt (Seattle, WA)
This was one of my best investments, considering how little it cost. I am in the process of transferring from a 7 year old but still working computer, to a newer one which is necessary to run some of the newer software. After 7 years, there's plenty on the old computer that's obsolete, so I didn't want to transfer everything. There are also a couple of older programs that won't work in Windows 7, which is on the new computer, so now I can still use those. I'm migrating data as I have time to work out the bugs - no stress involved. The 207 worked immediately, and better than I expected. If I could only plug my printer in, too (I yanked the network card out to use in the new computer), it would be perfect!

 "Good, but Not Great" 2010-01-21
By Gary (San Jose, CA USA)
I'm using this switch kit to share my 22" display (native resolution is 1680x1050, and I always set to this resolution) with my new laptop and my old desktop. For my laptop, the resolution is stable, but for my desktop, from time to time, the resolution changes to lower when I switch the display for it. And then I have to set it back. It bothers me a little bit, but overall it works fine. The display used to be connected to my old desktop before I bought the new laptop, and it worked perfectly without this issue.
