I purchased this cable to connect my Apple Airport Express to my Pioneer Receiver. The cable was priced slightly higher than the very cheaply made ones, but much less than you would pay for a 'premium' cable. The item came packaged in a simple zip-lock bag, which was a breeze to unpack. I plugged in one end into my Airport Express and the other into my receiver and that was all the setup that was required. The sound quality is excellent and I can tell the build quality on the cable is top notch.

I just upgraded from analog to this cable and the sound out of my MacBook is more than noticeably better. I was actually surprised at the difference. Everything sounds much clearer and if we happen to be watching something we've downloaded, it comes with surround sound.

This is an excellent toslink/optical cable that has performed perfectly. I have used it to replace an analog RCA-mini plug cable which connected my Apple Airport Express to my home theater receiver. This optical cable allows the receiver to do the D-to-A conversion. The sound is SO much better.
The cable itself is an ideal length and seems sturdy. The connectors fit well and the cable is resistant to unwanted bending. A quality piece at a fair price.

I bought this so I can connect my Unibody MacBook with my Bose home theater.
Work's like a charm.
The cable is thick (but not too thick) and the ends attach well to the MacBook and the Bose.
Tested it out by playing Batman Returns Blu-Ray @ 5.1 channel. Works perfectly.
