I am glad I could find this cable at Amazon. It is priced well as well. I received the cable in few days, connected it and worked well. The only problem I had with the driver software on my laptop. I had to go the website of the graphics card manufacturer (in my case it is ATI) and download the new driver software. Getting rid of the old driver software was quite tricky (simple uninstall did not suffice)

I split the signal between my monitor and an LCD projector in my classroom attached to a 20 foot cord. The quality on the monitor become too poor for me to use. The brightness decreased and there was a ghosting or double vision kind of effect on the monitor. Our tech guy explained that you are splitting the quality of the signal in two.

This review is for the Asus VW246H 24-inch LCD Monitor. I've received feedback from many other gamers that the Asus monitors are the way to go for gaming. It's true, the response time is perfect and there is no ghosting or "lag." The menus and controls are intuitive, and the monitor looks clean once you take off the stickers. It's not so round on the edges, which I like. Also, the stand is rock solid.



My friend has the 23" LG flatron, which is comparable in response time but has a slightly higher contrast ratio 50000:1. After a couple days of playing Tekken 6 on the the Asus, I have to admit the 20000:1 contrast ratio was a little disappointing. I wasn't a fan of the ASCR feature either. Having the darkness of a scene change by itself is a little awkward. While the LG is 1 inch smaller, I have decided to return the Asus for the LG instead. They're currently listed at the same price ($229.00) and I'm still saving by shopping through Amazon. Hope this helps anyone else that is debating between the two monitors. BTW, the monitor is awesome for the PC, even through a VGA cable. The contrast for some reason looks a lot better for PC output. I guess if you're just using the monitor for general use and photos, it's not a bad deal.

Living in the Midwest, I'm surprised I hadn't bought a weather radio years ago. I purchased the WR300 primarily for tornado season but have been pleasantly surprised with it's effectiveness during the winter. When you are ready to program it, sit down with the directions and give yourself a few minutes. The Midland has many weather alerts and you'll need to decide which alerts don't apply to where you live (i.e. Hurricane Watch) or alerts you just don't want waking you up at 3:00 AM (i.e. High Wind Watch). You can program it to alert you for all counties within radio range of the National Weather Service or just the county you live in. I also like that I can press the Weather Hazard Button and hear the current weather conditions and the forecast for the next few days. The WR300 works well and gives me peace of mind.

Living in Florida we have multiple perils.. hurricane, flood, tornado... this weather radio purchased less than 2 years ago put my family more at easy - we slept better at night. We also researched it thoroughly and thought we were purchasing the gold-standard of weather alert products and it was important as our county (Charlotte) does not have a public weather siren warning system (but that's another story of irresponsibility). This radio was fine for a while and a few weeks ago we stopped getting the weather testing signal from it and could not get weather news or alerts - according to other users on news groups it is "defunct". Why will it still get FM radio yet not alerts from the regional NWS? Well one would think a responsible company would repair these while still relatively new at cost say of postage both ways... but no, they want you to purchase a new one (or rebuilt one at new Amazon discounted retail price) every couple years evidently. Well they are probably not aware that many of us have been struck by another "natural disaster" called the "Great Recession" and it is not possible to replace equipment with built-in-obsolescence every two years as it might have been prior to 2008 so my family now will have to go without due to another in the increasing list of greedy, irresponsible companies that care more for a few points added to their bottom line than civic responsibility. When I can re-purchase, I will seek out another brand of emergency weather alert radios, but NOT a Midland thank you please. BTW, the top of the line Midland is somewhat designed in its set up and feature control like a product out of the 60s or 70s not the 2000s - so they are not evidently putting any R&D into this antique cash cow.

I like this clock, it is the second Oregon Scientific product I have bought and I think their products are well designed and of high quality.



A cautionary note, however, to those who suffer from high frequency hearing loss - I often will sleep through the alarm because it is not particularly loud and it sounds in a range of frequency that I cannot very well detect. Consequently, I must have a second, louder alarm of lower frequency set as a backup.



Adjustment to the clock's alarm frequency and/or volume would be useful.

My biggest peeve with this clock is that the projection is so fixed that the only way to move the image around is to move the entire clock. Not having had a clock like this before, I didn't realize this would be an issue and so didn't consider a different model. Also, I didn't read the dimensions and it's quite a bit bigger than I thought it would be. Again, I probably should've checked but it just didn't look that big in the picture. That said, I love Oregon Scientific products and would purchase one again in the future. I love the accuracy of the readings and having the indoor temp right on there is a plus.

First off, I think the protector is made of good quality. The instructions stated that the screen protector was made to be smaller than the PSP screen because they did not want the screen protector to lift up.... totally understandable. When I installed this protector onto my PSP-3000, it was easy to make the bubble-free. The only problem is that the protector was BIGGER than the screen. Therefore the sides of the protector were slightly on the body of the PSP. Since it was on the body of the PSP, the edges will lift up and the protector will fall off in a matter of time. I had to trim the protector.... in doing so, dust and other items fell onto the adhesive side making it VERY difficult reapply it without bubbles. I am giving this product one star because of the fact that it was larger then the screen. I checked the protector on the psp screen before applying it and the (larger) difference was unnoticeable.



Also, there was only one protector in the package (granted I knew this when I purchased the item). They could have had 2-3 of them in the package so if the customer messes up, they have another to go to.



I wished this screen protector actually fit my screen... I would have given it 5 stars. I am currently attempting to contact the seller to see if they are willing to give a refund or a replacement. Updates will follow.



**UPDATE**

The company did contact me and requested to send me another one. The only problem is I never received it.
